Important Update: Transitioning from Skype
We wish to inform you that Microsoft will discontinue Skype services in May this year. While the Skype-Out feature will remain operational until the end of our contract in October 2025, we are actively exploring alternative communication options to serve our customers better.
In response to this change, we have already made some adjustments. Our website now features a dedicated Jitsi channel, providing a platform for peer-to-peer support as needed. Additionally, we plan to use Jitsi for our upcoming webinars.
We recognize the importance of accessibility through phone calls and consider various messaging options, including Signal and WhatsApp. However, there is no single standard that everyone uses. As a Dutch company, we also consider privacy considerations that align with EU GDPR laws. We will update you with our new contact information on our website as it becomes available.
As we navigate this transition, our commitment to keeping PHsPeed up to date and providing reliable support remains unchanged. Our support channels will remain active, and we will arrange web meetings through our Jitsi channel as necessary. We are dedicated to maintaining communication with our customers, whether you are a long-time user, new to PHsPeed, or have been using one of our other services.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this transitional period.
We have reopened our forum
After heavy misuse, we had to close down our forum. After taking some measures, we have reopened the forum. We recovered the items, but the dates were set to the migration date. It is what it is. We will migrate the issues that were reported to our help desk and apply them to the forum in the upcoming period.
If you have issues with the product that require assistance, please use the help-desk ticket system, which is by far the fastest method. The forum is especially useful for questions and comments that could be helpful to others.
To use the forum, you must create an account. This also applies to our current customers. We are working on a single-signon solution and expect to roll out soon.
Happy coding!
We have been starting implementing PHP 8.3
We are excited to share that we have successfully integrated PHP 8.3 and XDebug into our current development environment. This significant update allows us to provide support for PHP 8.3 shortly after its official release. PHP 8.3 is currently scheduled to be released at the end of November, and we are committed to ensuring a seamless transition for our users.
As part of this transition, we will be deprecating support for PHP 7.4. It's important to note that PHP 7.4 has reached its end-of-life, and continuing to use it may expose your applications to security vulnerabilities. Additionally, most hosting providers have already adopted PHP 8.x as the preferred version, making it a wise choice for future-proofing your projects.
For users of PHsPeed applications, upgrading to a higher PHP version is a straightforward process. You will only need to regenerate your application fully and upload the latest runtime. This ensures that your applications remain compatible and take full advantage of the features and improvements offered by PHP 8.3.
We are dedicated to providing you with the latest technologies and ensuring a smooth experience for your development projects. Stay tuned for further updates, and thank you for choosing us as your development environment provider. Your success is our priority.
